On February 13th, coinciding with the Idaho Association of School Administrators (IASA) Superintendents Conference, Silverback Learning Solutions welcomed over 85 customers and guests to our first-ever Mileposts Thank You Dinner at the Stueckle Sky Center, high atop Boise State Bronco Stadium.  Michel Bourgeau and Dan Bofenkamp talk about the Allen Noble Hall of Fame GalleryWe co-hosted the dinner with Premier Insurance, and would like to especially thank Tim Black, Pete Cavender, and the entire team at Premier for all they lend to our business as a service provider and as a partner.   The evening kicked off with a walk through the Allen Noble Hall of Fame Gallery, where a keen eye could spot Hall of Fame Director and our very special tour guide Michel Bourgeau among the portraits of Boise State greats (Michel was inducted after an illustrious career as an All-American Boise State lineman from 1980 to 1983.)  Michel then treated us to a revered walk on “The Blue”—Lyle Smith Field at Bronco Stadium, where we played out touchdown upon touchdown, or at least as many as we could play out in our fifteen minutes of fame enabled by a foam football someone smuggled onto the turf.  We then took a quick walk through the spacious Caven-Williams Sports Complex, followed by an anticipated elevator ride to the gorgeous Steuckles Sky Center, where the beauty of the architecture inside and out was surpassed only by the magical sunset painting itself onto the western Idaho canvas.

CEO Jim Lewis at Mileposts Thank You Dinner

Following a buffet of Italian delights and desserts, CEO Dr. Jim Lewis and Director of Operations Rudi Lewis spoke a few words about the exciting direction of our young company.  But the unexpected highlight of the night was a visit from a couple of Maaco Bowl Champion Boise State Broncos: student athletes J.C. Percy and Matt Paradis.  Both are Mountain West Conference all-academic honorees and both hail from Silverback Mileposts customer districts (J.C. from Blackfoot School District and Matt from Council School District.)

We want to again thank our tour host, Michel Bourgeau, and Mark Coyle, BSU director of athletics, as well as the Steuckles Sky Center management and catering staff.  We also want to thank Rob Winslow and Kristen Massingale of IASA for hosting a great conference and being great friends of Silverback.  Also a big thanks to Dr. Joey Wise and his team from Atlantic Research Partners who continue to provide vital support for our solution, as well as Inter-State Studio, the student portrait folks who have taken their rightful place in Silverback Nation with the generous offer to fund $1 per student to any Inter-State district who buys Mileposts.

Most of all, thank you to our Idaho Mileposts Consortium Districts for your continued support and input into helping us make this “Buy Idaho” company and our product the very best we can be nationally.  For those of you who were there and especially for those unable to attend, we have put together a Picasa online web album for your memories.  We want to extend our sincerest thanks to all of you who have contributed support, thoughts, and suggestions over the past several years.  Without you, Silverback Learning Solutions and Mileposts would not exist.  All of us at Silverback Learning look forward to the exciting new releases coming in the very near future and to serving you in the many years to come.
